Artist's Comments

This creek flows under a road through the Rogers Rock campground. I watched it every time I walked the road, either unsatisfied with the lighting condition or too busy to actually go and photograph it.

I loved the area, I'm dissatisfied that I wasn't able to capture it the way I saw it.

I gave it a Latin title because I wasn't creative enough to give it a real one.

How do you get the greens so vivid? Is it all in the camera or slight photoshop adjustment?

Let me ask this I've tried shooting quite of few waterfalls and such. But I happen to go when it's too bright out and try using my lowest iso and highest f-stop of f/22 and still can't expose it right to get motion blur of the water. Do I need to use manual mode only instead of aperture priority or wait until it gets darker out?

Using your lowest ISO and smallest aperture is good, your only other problem would be light. Waiting until it's darker is one way to do it, you could also invest in a neutral density filter. The ND filter will probably be a lot more convenient for you than wandering around in the dark. They're not too expensive, I went with an 8x ND by Hoya and it's all I need.

That's about how it looked in person, not really the camera or Photoshop so much. That was one of the things I noticed about New York when I moved up here. All the plant life seems so healthy and lush.

Don't be hard on yourself, The photo is beautiful. You know you could fix the tree exposure but you chose to leave it and that's fine. I'm still gonna fav it.
